Padmashree Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs, Govt. of India. Inaugurated School Building on 28th Feb 2024. During the inauguration of a school belonging to the KLE Society’s School in Chikkodi, he highlighted India’s significant progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade. Jaishankar commended Modi’s efforts, stating that the foundation laid during this time has positioned India for substantial growth.
The school boasts modern amenities including IT-equipped classrooms, advanced computer and science labs, a digital library, sports facilities, and provisions for music and arts training. Additionally, to facilitate rural students’ access, the school has organized monitored travel facilities through school buses. Currently, the school caters to over 400 students from nursery to class 8, managed by a team of 50 staff members.
Various dignitaries including Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi, MLC Prakash Hukkeri, MLAs Ganesh Hukkeri and Mahantesh Koujalagi, MP Annasaheb Jolle, and KLE Society president, Praveen B. Kamble were present in the event.
KLE School, Chikodi, was started in 2020-2021 to provide quality lower primary, upper primary and high school education to students from rural areas. It is located at Chikodi on Bananatikodi Road, Just 10 minutes away from Chikodi Bus Stand, and is about 72 km from the Belgaum.
